1. Who we are

San Diego Coastal Builder (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a licensed general contracting business serving San Diego County. This policy explains what information we collect through https://sandiegocoastalbuilder.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the city your project is in, the type of project, and anything you write in the message field.

Information collected automatically. We record how you arrived at our site: the referring website, search terms where available, and campaign parameters in the link you clicked (including utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and advertising click identifiers such as gclid, fbclid, and msclkid). We store this in your browser’s local storage so we can tell which marketing actually produced an inquiry.

We do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or government identification through this website.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • respond to your inquiry and discuss your project;
  • prepare estimates and scopes of work;
  • schedule and coordinate work with our trade partners;
  • send follow-ups about a project you asked us about;
  • request a review after a completed project;
  • understand which marketing channels bring us inquiries.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other contractors or lead-generation companies.

4. Text messages (SMS)

By submitting our contact form and checking the consent box, you agree to receive text messages from San Diego Coastal Builder about your project: scheduling, questions, updates, and follow-ups.

  • Message frequency varies based on your project.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages.
  • Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at dane@sandiegocoastalbuilder.com · (619) 304-3242.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except the messaging providers required to deliver the messages.

5. Service providers

We use third-party services to run our business, including a customer relationship management (CRM) platform that stores the inquiries submitted through this site, and website analytics. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to remember how you first arrived at our site, for up to 365 days. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings. Blocking it does not prevent you from using the site or contacting us.

We also use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site and which pages lead to inquiries. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) that identify your browser across visits; it does not receive your name, phone number, or email address from us. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, advertising storage is disabled automatically. You can also block these cookies with a browser extension or browser setting, and the site will continue to work.

7. Data retention

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if we work together, for as long as required for our business and legal records. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.

8. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request its deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at dane@sandiegocoastalbuilder.com · (619) 304-3242. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
